Here a Beehive, there a Beehive...

Lots of cute girls and one of their fearless leaders.   Sister Urie!!!!
We are so blessed to have such wonderful young women leaders.

The Beehives came over on Wednesday night for their class activity.  Mark taught them about indexing.  The youth are having a indexing competition and Mark is trying to help the GIRLS win.  With him on their side I don't know how they could possibly loose.  We had a short lesson on indexing and then some delicious treats.  I am addicted to making salsa now that I have my food processor.  I found the best recipe at thepioneerwoman.com  her resturant style salsa is the best!

Preference

Preference is in the air.  Kyra and Whitney made cupcakes on Monday.  (Which I failed to get any pictures of.)
They decorated the cupcakes with cute frosting and sprinkles and put a note with them that said..
"Hey cupcake, Preference?"
Then they carefully inserted one letter of their name into each cupcake.  Whitney's date McCoy promptly answered her on Wednesday night with this.

WE DONE PRETTY GOOD!!!

You know those websites or places you can go and download a picture of yourself and your spouse and see what your children may look like?  Mark and I did that before we had any children and WOW!! it was scary!!  The picture that came out looked NOTHING like our kids.  LUCKILY!!!  These are a few shots from our family picture session.  Our girls are so beautiful.  If I do say so myself.   :)  The thing is they are not only beautiful on the outside they are beautiful on the inside too.  They are kind, smart, caring, helpful, and loving.  Mark and I are really so blessed to have such wonderful children.

Valentines Day

Mark left me a cute note with "Kisses"
all over the ground and some flowers
and my favorite carmels!

Whitney and Philip all cute for their date!
Philip gave her the dress and earrings and took
her out to dinner.  AWWW!

I am getting worse and worse at posting.  But I am determined to keep up as much as I can.  I love going back and reading old posts and looking at pictures.  We had a great Valentines Day here.  Mark takes care of his girls!  Jordan said he set a record at the MTC for the most Valentines!  (With help from my cute class)  Jordan received over 20 Valentines!  My class made him some heart animals that I had patterns for and wrote him notes on them.  Some of my favorite were...  "I hop you are god."  and "I spek Spanish I am glad you olmost spek Spanish." and "You are owsum!" Those first graders are pretty fun.  :)

Some cute writing done by a first grader.  They were asked to write about what they love.

Update on my missionary

Jordan wrote us a fun letter this week and sent some pictures.  These are the first ones we have gotten since he has been gone. (I need to try to figure out how to get them on the blog) He still seems to be doing very well.  He said he will be leaving the MTC on March 5th.  I am hoping to get a phone call that morning but I am not positive it will happen.  I loved what he said in his letter last week.

"Now that I am on the back 9 (for his time in the MTC) I will try not to count down the days but instead I will make the days count."
 Isn't that a great attitude?
