The Prom

Last weekend Jordan went to the Prom. I called my mom that night and said "How can it be that Mark and I have a son going to the prom? We went to the prom last week!" Yes, Mark and I went to the prom together. Of course it really wasn't last week it was in 1988. It just seems like it was last week. Time sure flies by! As you can see Jordan and Lindsey are picture perfect in their prom attire! What a great couple they make. They have been good friends forever(since grade school). They had a good time together with a hike at Red Cliffs, dinner at Rusty's in their dressy clothes, the dance , and a movie afterwards at a friends.


I just had to get a picture of the corsage. I thought it was so beautiful.

She said yes!

Jordan asked a friend of his to prom. I forgot to take a picture of how he asked. He bought a toy dump truck and we got some Cinnabon cinnamon rolls and put them in bed of the truck. We wrote with a sharpie marker in the bed of the truck "I would love to haul your 'buns' to Prom" (thanks Jill) On the license plate we wrote JC Trucking. Lindsey replied 2 days later with what we thought was a beautiful chocolate cake with " You must get through to see if I will go to Prom with you!" Jordan tried to take a bite of the cake but it was too hard to cut through. He started taking the frosting off and found out it was a frosted phone book! He combed through the phone book and finally noticed on the page that had her last name on it it said YES.

Our annual Easter Egg Hunt at mom and dad's house! The weather was a bit chilly but it is never to cold to go out and find little plastic eggs full of chocolate and other wonderful candies!

We had a big dutch oven dinner to celebrate our Spring Break. We had chicken, beans, potatoes, and not shown apple cobbler. It was fun. Karin and her family had never had dutch oven food before it has been fun sharing some of our traditions with them. That is my dad and my nephew Dahlin in the the picture.

Science Fair

Courtney and Madelynn both wanted to participate in the school science fair. Courtney's project was titled "M & M Mayhem" It was a project on probability. Of course using my favorite candy
M & M's was a big bonus! Madelynn did a project about different kind of popcorn poppers. It was titled "Mirror, Mirror on the wall what is the best way to pop popcorn of all?" We popped Orville Redenbacher popcorn in 4 different poppers. Hot air, popcorn machine, microwave, and in a pan on the stove. We then counted the number of unpopped kernals after each batch had popped. Any guesses on which one leaves the least amount of unpopped kernals? I will give the answer in a later post! We didn't win any prizes but it was alot of fun putting them together.

One Last Snow

Of course the winter would not be complete without one last (hopefully last) Spring snow storm. This is a picture of the next door neighbors tree. I just thought it was so beautiful I could not resist taking a picture.

Jordan Master Goalie

This is why I really don't love Jordan playing goalie! Just look at that boy running full speed straight towards Jordan!!!! He is not scared a bit and does such a good job! He plays for the high school boys team. Whitney cannot wait until the Fall when she will play for the high school girls team. GO Falcons!!!
