Elder Jordan Dale Comstock has been called to serve!

Jordan got his mission call on Thursday!!!!  He will be serving in the Honduras Tegucigalpa Mission.  He will be speaking Spanish.  He enters the Prove MTC on January 4, 2012 and will spend about 3 weeks there.  Then he will go to the MTC in Guatemala for 6 more weeks.  This is going to be such a wonderful opportunity for him.  Our Bishop told us on Sunday the call had been mailed so we checked the mail faithfully each day.  Everyone told us the calls always come on Thursdays but of course we thought we knew better.  But alas, the call DID come on Thursday.  Mark texted me about 11:00 saying.  "It's here we couldn't wait to open it, South Korea."  I called him in a panic and he and Jordan laughed at me.  Jordan came to my school and we went to lunch.  We went to Wendy's and ordered a bunch of food and then sat down and looked at it and decided we could not eat it!  Our stomach's were in knots.  Whitney soccer team played our cross town rivals at 4:00pm (and lost)  :(  Jordan had to work from 5-8.  He had invited a few close friends over and my mom and dad and David and Julie and family over for the ceremonial opening of the call.  We called Gma and Gpa Comstock and put them on speaker phone so they could be part of the action.  He opened the envelope and read out loud his call.  I was surprisingly calm.  He was SOOOO happy and everyone else just cheered with excitement.  We are so proud of the young man he has become and his willingness to serve the Lord.

Waiting for grandma and grandpa to arrive!!!

Way to go Elder Comstock!!!!!

GOOOAAAL!!!!!

Half time drink break.

Soccer season has started again.  Whitney has already played 4 games and Madee had her first game on Thursday.  I don't have any pictures of Whit yet but here is Madee.  Madee scored the first goal of the season and Whit scored in her game on Saturday.  YOU GO GIRLS!!!!

Dave turns 40!

Robbie, Mark, Thad, and Dave

Here they are trying one of their "GQ" poses.
My brother David turned 40 this week.  A couple of his friends from High School who are living up North came down for the day.  I got a couple of pictures of the Mark and Dave and them together.  Mark and I were saying it was so weird that our son is the same age they all were when they were friends.  It seems like not that long ago that they were getting mission calls.  And now we have a son doing just that!!  I guess time flies when your having fun!!!

First Day of School 2011

 Whitney and Mark.
Headed off the school together.

Whitney first day of Junior Year!!!!

Courtney headed off to 7th Grade!

Madee our beautiful 4th Grader!

Mom and Madee still going to school together.
So another summer has come and gone.  And it is now time for the classic "back to school post."  Where has the time gone?  It was so weird getting pictures of everyone but Jordan!  He spent the day golfing with his grandpa and working.

The switch has been flipped...

Apparently that is what you say now adays.  Back in the day we said;
"mission papers have been sent in."
Our Stake President said that now he just presses a button or "flips a switch."  Jordan met with the Stake President this morning.
 Now we wait.
It should take about 2 weeks.
I will post all about it when we get the letter from
The First Presidency.
I have so many different feelings about the whole thing.  I was telling Mark's mom how I was feeling and that I am just going to miss Jordan SO MUCH!!!!
She said a really great thing to me.
She said, "Becky, Heavenly Father has given Jordan to you and Mark to raise and to be with forever.  He just needs you to loan him back for 2 years."
Well... That is the least I can do for my Father in Heaven since he has blessed me and given me such a great boy!!!!
(But that doesn't mean I still won't cry occasionally and MISS him ALOT!!!)

Get your craft on!

The girls and I got crafty this week.
We took ordinary composition notebooks to a whole new level!!!!

Madee wanted to have a Back to School Party.  So we invited a few girls from the neighborhood and they all got crafty too!!  I thought ALL the notebooks turned out so adorable!  And to do this project all you need is a composition notebook, a couple of pieces of scrapbook paper, and some Elmer's glue!

Back from Lake Powell

Of course I have no pictures of the trip, because I did not go. But I did snap a picture of the girls yesterday to catch their golden tans.   I gave a talk in church yesterday and had fun sitting on the stand and seeing all the beautiful tan Young Women coming into the chapel!
Aren't they beautiful!?!?!?!?
