Happy Father's Day

What do you buy for the dad who says he has everything he needs and insists he WANTS nothing?!?!?
The kids and I came up with an idea...
Things that they can do with their dad.
Madee got him a gift card to Subway so they can go to lunch.
Courtney got him a gift card to Krave so they can go get a good summer snack.
Whitney got a gift card to Chili's so they can have a nice sit down lunch or dinner.
Jordan got him a gift card to Sonny Boy's their new favorite Bar-B-Que joint.
So Mark can do lots of fun things with his children this summer.  This is what we do for their grandparents (Jordan) every year for Christmas.  It is a great idea for the person who really doesn't NEED anything!  But would love to spend time with their loved ones.  I am so lucky to have Mark be the father of my children.  He is a wonderful dad.  He takes time to listen and to do things with his children.  He supports them in all of their activities from sports to band and everything in between.  He honors his priesthood and shows the children his love for me.  Thank you Mark, we LOVE you so much and are blessed to call you DAD!!!!
As for me for Mother's Day...  I got this lovely patio set so I can spend long summer nights out on the patio with my family!!!!  FUN!

Utah Summer Games!!!!

It was Summer Games time this week in Cedar!  Soccer was in full swing!!!!  Whitney's team did pretty well.  They made it to the bronze medal round but lost. :(  We always have fun anyway.  There is a big fireworks show on Thursday night we always attend and then lots and lots of soccer.  We were glad to have good weather this year.

Batter Up!

Softball season has come and go.  We spend many games being BLASTED by the wind and wrapped tightly in a blanket.  (It has been a COLD spring!)  We did have 2 or 3 games that we actually got to sit and enjoy the sun while watching the game.  :)  Courtney and Madelynn both did well this year perfecting their swings and fielding of the ball.   Courtney played 1st base for her team Century 21.  Madee played many different places (this was REALLY her first year since last year her arm was in a cast most of the season).  Her teams name was Ron's.

You say it's your birthday...It's my birthday too!!!

We used to do posters for our birthdays.  This year we tried something new for Mark!

Whitney and her BFF Kyra.

Whitney and her sisters and Cassie and Kyra and her chocolaty chocolate cake.
Both Mark and Whitney had birthday's this week.  Mark 41 and Whit is the BIG  1-6!!!!!   Wow!  Where has the time gone?  Mark and I are both officially in our 40ties.
Remember when you thought that was OLD!?!?!?
( If you are reading this and are thinking 'THAT IS OLD' shame on you!)

We do "compliments" for the birthday
person on their birthday.  Whitney said a really nice one for Mark.
She said, "You were pretty much my best friend at school this year!  You were ALWAYS there when I needed a friend."

No Mark did not hit his 40ties and go all gray.  For Jordan's grad night Mark was the host of Minute to Win-It.  Doesn't he look like Guy the host?  :)

Here is my beautiful 16 year old daughter!!!
I am so blessed to have you call me mom Whitney.  I remember the day you were born and how happy I was to have a daughter.  I remember when you were a newborn baby dressing you from head to toe each day even though we never went anywhere (we did not have a car). I just enjoyed making you look so darling in all your girly clothes, shoes, and bows!   You have turned into a caring, kind, sweet, senstive, smart, athletic, righteous daughter of your Heavenly Father.  I am so glad you are a part of our family we are blessed to call you daughter and sister.
